Detailed Sketch
In all honesty, The House on Mango Street doesn't have many memorable scenes. It has many memorable vignettes, but they tend to be far more about emotions, thoughts and philosophy than they are about the scenes themselves. So, because there wasn't a particular semi-memorable scene which was more so than others, I decided to choose the one that was memorable in a unique way; the bike ride. The bike ride is one of the only happy vignettes in the entire book. Added to this, about a third of the vignette is dedicated to describing the scenery.
